László Vass was born 1946 in Budapest. With 17 years he started his career in an Hungarian fashionhouse. At the age of 24 Mr. Vass completed the shoemaker examination and learned thereafter in another Budapester fashion-enterprise everything over the art of the shoemaking. In the mastership examination Mr. VASS made an original Budapestershoe.

1978 he started his own business with his knowledge over the production of valuable and classic gentleman shoes. Today he had over 10 shoemakers personally trained by him. They produce together only a few 1000 pair of shoes yearly.
At least 8 week lasts the production of a shoe from the first processing step to the finish. This guarantees alsolut highest quality. Vass Shoes will never become a mass product. The Owner of VASS shoes belongs thereby to a small elitären group. And it was always a little more expensive to have a good taste. Whereby the purchase price of a shoe relates itself very strongly, if one knows that a maintained VASS shoe can live 20 years.
